What is MTD?
MTD stands for “Making Tax Digital”. It is a UK government initiative that aims to modernize the tax system by making it easier for taxpayers to submit their tax returns and pay their taxes online. The goal of MTD is to reduce errors in tax returns, improve the efficiency of the tax system, and ultimately make it easier for individuals and businesses to comply with their tax obligations. As part of the MTD initiative, the UK government has introduced a number of new digital tools and services, such as online tax accounts, that taxpayers can use to manage their tax affairs.
